Remember that you are not alone! As you look around, you can see that every human being has the same desire to find endless pleasure. Other people may be trying to find it by gaining more power, drinking, getting more money, or using drugs. These things will give them only a short term relief that leads them back to were they started. You may be realizing that there is nothing in this world that can truly quench the desire you have. So why do we have an internal desire for something that can not be satisfied? It may be that there is something higher then what we can find in this world.
As you have already found out, using lust to find that feeling will not work either. The world on the other hand will try to make you think it will. We are now living in a sex crazed society. You can not walk in a mall without seeing a picture of girl in her underwear. Television, magazines, news papers and radio all seem to have a constant stream of sex. It has been said that sex sells and they will use it as much as necessary to sell their products. Unfortunately for you and possibly your family it will have a very disastrous effect.
You may be feeling that with all this against you that it is not your fault. This is much like going to the beach and swimming too far from shore. When you feel yourself drowning, do you just give up because the ocean is too big or do you call for help? Of course you call for help. Help is waiting for you and we will discuss it in step three.
